When a company opts to establish its own fleet instead of renting vehicles, certain issues are resolved, while new ones emerge. On the positive side, the business no longer relies on third-party providers and gains complete control over its vehicles and staff. Conversely, the company must independently handle situations where vehicles are far from the office and parking facilities. It needs to manage numerous employees responsible for valuable cars, fuel, and cargo, and ensure the safety and well-being of people if it transports passengers.

Management must evaluate the employees’ driving style, the risks of car crashes and to determine motivation strategies. Safety issues with personnel driving habits can lead to accidents and financial losses. Our customer, a logistics company, transported important and dangerous cargo, and wanted to create a safe driving culture for reducing the probability of truck crashes. The firm has IT staff but they did not specialize in cloud-based software development.

The lack of integration between systems for order processing, warehouse management, customer interaction, and delivery logistics posed a significant obstacle. This meant that restaurant managers often had to rely on multiple disconnected systems to handle different aspects of the operation, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and higher operational costs.

An enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that fully automates the processes of delivery restaurants, from customer interaction to management and control.

There are many ERP systems for restaurants in the world, but few of them are ideal for delivery restaurants. Usually, IT companies develop common systems for ordinary restaurants that have tables for eating, for fast food and street food cafes. Such ERP systems have an extensive number of functions. However, their main problem is that they don’t contain any options, which allows the restaurant manager to optimize couriers’ routes, work with the assessment and forecasting of couriers’ time, and so on.

For each courier, the restaurant manager set the definite service area and marked if this employee was on foot, or on a scooter, bike, or on a car. Therefore, the system allocated that courier only on those orders that implied delivery to the addresses within the marked service area.

The ERP included the website and the mobile application for order processing, food production control with the function of evaluation of the delay in the kitchen.
